International Students

We're pleased that you're considering becoming a part of the UGA community.

We recognize that attending college in another country can be both thrilling and intimidating, so we want to do everything we can to answer your questions, guide you through the application process, and introduce you to International Student Life at the University of Georgia. We have also compiled a list of questions for international students on our International FAQ

More than 2,600 international students from 125 different countries are enrolled at UGA.  While our students represent a variety of perspectives, backgrounds and experiences, they are all participants in the University of Georgia's community of scholars.  As a student at UGA, you'll have the chance to learn from distinguished faculty in more than 170 different academic programs of study.  Most importantly, you'll be a bulldog.

UGA & Agents

The University of Georgia understands that agents or consultants are often engaged in many parts of the world to assist students in searching for and applying to universities in the United States. Please note that UGA does NOT partner with agents to represent UGA abroad or to assist in the completion of an application. The policy of UGA does not endorse any agent or private organization in the recruitment or enrollment of international students. International Ambassadors

International Student Ambassadors (ISA's) help guide potential international applicants through the UGA application process, and are a point of contact for general questions about life as an international student at UGA.

ISA's welcome newly admitted international students and respond to their pre-arrival questions and concerns. They also conduct guided tours for international campus visitors, such as prospective international students or foreign dignitaries, where they also advise on U.S. culture at UGA.
