Greek Life
The fraternities and sororities are an established tradition at UGA, dating back more than 150 years. There are 62 national Greek-letter men's and women's groups, making up 26% of the undergraduate student population. The self-governing, self-supporting bodies of the fraternities and sororities are the Interfraternity Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Multicultural Greek Council and the Panhellenic Council. These groups coordinate events, provide educational programs, establish community-wide regulations and implement policies for their member organizations.

Recreational Sports
Fun. Fitness. Learning. Leadership. UGA Recreational Sports makes all of this possible. Students who pay activity fees are automatically a member of the Ramsey Student Center. Students can drop in to shoot hoops, play racquetball, take a fitness class, climb on the indoor wall, lift weights or run around the indoor track. The Ramsey Center even has an Olympic-sized swimming pool for students to swim laps in. Students can also represent UGA by participating in 9 men's varsity sports, 12 women's varsity sports, 22 intramural sports and 45 club sports.
