Since 2000, it has been the policy of the University of Georgia that the top two graduates of all SACS-accredited high schools in Georgia are assured admission by final decision release (mid-to-late March) to the University of Georgia’s First-Year Class for the Fall or Spring term, provided that the student meet the following criteria:

  • Submit an application for first-year admission by the decision plan deadline
  • Submit all supporting materials to complete their application by the respective deadline
  • Meet Georgia Board of Regent minimum requirements for admission to a USG Research university
  • Have their school class rank verified by a school official
  • Attend an accredited high school with more than 50 graduates
