Maybe you've been to Athens one-hundred see the Dawgs play in Sanford Stadium or to visit an older sibling. Maybe you're planning your very first campus visit, nervous about the college-search process and the prospect of being away from home. Either way, the resources below will guarantee that you will see the University of Georgia in a new light. We think it's important that you come to campus and leave better able to answer the question, "Is UGA a good fit for me?"

Visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions

If you visit campus, we suggest that you stop by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in Terrell Hall. The office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an admissions counselor always on duty to talk with students and their families about UGA. We strongly encourage students to attend one of two daily Information Sessions during which an admissions counselor will give a detailed overview of academics, campus life, and the application process. A current student is usually on-hand at these sessions to provide honest feedback about "a day in the life of a UGA student." Sessions last approximately one hour and you can ensure your space in an information session by making an Information Session reservation

The Office of Admissions also conducts information sessions on selected Saturdays at the UGA Visitors Center. These sessions are held once monthly from 12-1 p.m. (EST) at the Visitors Center facility and not in Terrell Hall.

Transfer Students have an opportunity to attend one of our Transfer Student Sessions, a smaller session designed to answer specific questions for transfer students like course transferability, the transfer student experience, and the transfer admissions process. Students can attend a Transfer Student Session by making a reservation online.

The Visitors Center and Campus Tours

The best way for students to start planning a visit to UGA is by contacting our Visitors Center. The Center is the primary source of information about the UGA campus, special events, and overnight accommodations. If you are interested in taking a guided tour of campus, you need to make a reservation for one of the scheduled tours. These tours, led by a current student, include a walking tour of North Campus and a bus tour of the remainder of campus. We suggest that you make your tour reservation well in advance and call the Visitors Center at (706) 542-0842 if you need more help planning a visit. The Visitors Center office hours are listed below. Remember that the Center is closed on official University holidays, and tour times might be modified on national holidays.

Not enough time for a tour? Check out our Multimedia Tour of campus or print our UGA self-guided tour.

Stay on Campus at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center

Your stay. Stay at our on-campus hotel, UGA Hotel and Conference Center. Close to the Coliseum, Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, and other landmarks, it is centrally located and close to everything! For you and your family, the Office of Admissions has negotiated special discounted rates at the UGA Hotel.

Contact Academic Departments or Student Life

Your interests. Consider viewing one of the departments on campus that captures your interest. Whether it's an academic interest, from the Terry College of Business to the College of Public Health, or a student life interest such as the Honors Program or Multicultural Services Program, students can connect with Academic Departments or Student Life to obtain more information and/or possibly arrange a visit.
