Welcome to the NEW University of Georgia Transfer Equivalency Search

The new search may have some inconsistencies that will be worked out over time.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS LIST IS NOT COMPREHENSIVE. IT SHOULD ONLY BE USED AS A GUIDE. THIS LIST REFLECTS COURSES THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN REVIEWED BY UGA FOR TRANSFER CREDIT. COURSES ARE ADDED AS TRANSFER STUDENTS ENROLL AT UGA AND THEIR WORK IS EVALUATED. ONLY COURSE WORK FROM A REGIONALLY ACCREDITED INSTITUTION WILL TRANSFER INTO UGA.

Please note that equivalencies and requirements may change without notice. In general, core degree program courses from institutions accredited by their regional Association of Colleges and Schools transfer as specific UGA courses or electives. The ultimate authority in determining how a course transfers is the UGA Department controlling the subject. Example: The UGA Mathematics department is the ultimate authority on how courses with a MATH prefix transfer.

Using the Site

Institutions may be searched by Name of institution or all institutions in a State. Name searches may be performed by typing key letters or words in the name of the institution being searched.

Once an institution has been selected, source institution courses and their UGA equivalent may be viewed by click "Get Courses".

Example: Source Institution course ENGL1101 = UGA course ENGL1101

UGA Transfer Credit Types

Example: ENGL1101 = ENGL1101 Reason: Identical UGA course

Example: ENGL1101 = ENGL1T** Prefix (ENGL), class level (1), transfer designation (T**) Reasons: no direct equivalent UGA class, or insufficient credit hours

University System of Georgia Core Elective

Example: MATH1001 = MATH1A** Prefix (MATH), class level (1), transfer designation (A-E**) Reasons: Satisfies A through E core at University System of Georgia schools (including UGA), but no direct equivalent UGA class, or insufficient credit hours

Other symbols such as # are for internal use and should be ignored.
