Warning to AOL, CompuServe and Dellnet Users! The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has determined that proprietary browsers (including, but not limited to AOL, CompuServe and Dellnet) do not work reliably with our Web application. However, using Netscape (version 4.5 or higher) or Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or higher) instead of your proprietary browser will work. If you are using a proprietary browser, please minimize it and reconnect to the Undergraduate Admissions page using your Netscape or Internet Explorer browser.
  • Scan through the entire Web application. There may be some items that require you to gather information not readily at hand.
  • Once you are logged in, the application automatically saves the information you have already entered as you move between pages. Once you begin the online application, DO NOT use the “Back” and/or “Forward” buttons on your internet browser. Instead, use the “Next” and/or “Previous” buttons provided at the bottom of each page of the application.

    • Part II of the application (leadership and activities record and four short essays)
    • $50 non-refundable application fee
    • Official high school transcript
    • Counselor/School Evaluation Form
    • Official SAT or ACT scores with writing assessment

  • If you are applying from a public terminal, you need to properly quit the application or others may be able to access your information. Make sure to either fully submit an application or use the provided button to quit the application. Then close all open instances of the Web browser you are using.
  • Verify that your Social Security number is correct. Note: The most common cause of processing and file completion delays is an incorrect or missing Social Security number.
  • Verify the accuracy of the semester in which you wish to enroll, as well as the Application Type, Decision Plan, School/College, and Intended Major. If these are left blank, the respective default selections will be as follows: Fall, First-Year, Regular Decision, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, Unspecified.
  • If you need to leave the application and return to it at a later time, use the “SAVE AND QUIT” option at the bottom of the application page. This feature saves all the information you have already provided on the application form.
  • Print a copy of your completed online application before you submit it. If you have correctly completed your application, you will receive an immediate response (Application Success page) upon submitting your application.
  • If you do not see this confirmation page within a minute, you should return (via the Back button) to your application page and submit again.
  • The easiest method of paying the non-refundable $50 Application Processing Fee is online. Once you have successfully submitted your Web application, you will be directed to the Application Fee Payment Page. If you intend to use this payment option, please have your credit card information handy before you begin the online application. Both the application and the non-refundable application–processing fee must be submitted by the appropriate application deadline. Your Web application will not be processed until this fee has been received.

Note: Online payments can only be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. If you complete your online application outside of these hours, please save it and log back in during these hours to make the payment.

You're now ready to begin!
